Safe UT

SafeUT is a new state-wide tool designed to provide confidential two-way communication with SafeUT crisis counselors or school staff through the SafeUT Mobile App, text number (coming soon) or Web. This service is provided through the University of Utah’s Crisis Center at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI). Students who call or start a crisis chat or text through the mobile app or web will confidentially connect directly to a UNI crisis counselor at the UNI CrisisLine.

The UNI CrisisLine provides 24/7 crisis intervention and emotional support to anyone in any type of crisis. Students can also use the SafeUT phone app or website to send non-crisis tips to school officials regarding topics such as bullying, cyberbullying, gang activity, drug & alcohol activity, and more. All tips are completely anonymous.

Coronavirus Updates

SUU SUCCESS Academy works closely with SUU and Iron County School District on all things related to the Coronavirus. Our student's safety is always our priority.

In conjunction with Governor Herbert and the Health Department, all public education classes have been moved to an online setting starting Monday, March 16th to March 30th. We will notify if this end date changes. Please make sure your email address and phone number are updated in Powerschool. We will be reaching out to you with email and Remind101 (@succssiron).

Our teachers and professors will reach out to all students by email on Wednesday, March 18th by 9:00 am. This email will describe the curriculum and content process for their online learning experience. Please be sure to check your school email to see how your teachers will be conducting your online classes and curriculum.

Our campus will remain open during this time period and we will have online chromebooks available if needed. We want to make sure all students have access to these resources. Please let us know if there will be any connection issues.

We realize this will create some challenges, but we have been preparing for this event and will work with you to ensure this process will be as smooth as possible.

SUCCESS Student Receives Daniels Scholarship

Our own Max Brown is one of only 26 students to receive the Daniel's scholarship in the state of Utah this year! Daniels Scholars may attend any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States, and the program covers the expenses that remain after all other scholarships and financial aid have been applied. It is an incredible scholarship and is often based on character as well as merit.

2017/2018 Sterling Scholars Named

Since 1962, high school seniors have been honored for their academic excellence by being named Sterling Scholars. According to the Sterling Scholar website, “a Sterling Scholar is a high school senior who is publicly recognized and awarded for the pursuit of excellence in scholarship, leadership and citizenship in the State of Utah.” Two of our own students, William Heaton (music), and Lyle Prince (mathematics) were recipients of this prestigious award.
